DIA security officers demonstrate DIA’s commitment to protecting the Agency’s people, information, facilities, operations, and classified and sensitive information while executing its global national security mission. As a civilian officer, you will take on challenging assignments and serve your country by performing a variety of security, countermeasure, investigative and law enforcement services. DIA security officers apply a range of professional training and functional expertise to make difficult decisions that affect the security of the Agency. They are strong team players, integrity-driven and exhibit the fortitude to represent difficult findings to senior leadership. DIA needs the best and the brightest to fulfill this critical mission.

Criminal Investigators perform a full range of investigations across five functional areas:

  • Investigative actions to thwart insider threats.
  • Support to the Personnel Security Program.
  • Criminal investigation matters.
  • Investigative support to Physical Security and Force Protection.
  • Investigative support to the Information Security Program for the protection of DIA worldwide.

All criminal investigators at full job performance are credentialed 1811 Special Agents of DIA with U.S. Marshall deputation.
